Tony Danza is going through criticism for his habits throughout a red-carpet interview after the reporter, Rye Myers, posted a video of the interplay to TikTok. 

Within the video, taken on the opening night time of “New York, New York” on Broadway, Myers asks Danza and Broadway producer Jamie deRoy how they’re doing. Whereas deRoy says she’s “excited,” Danza takes the dialog in a distinct route.

Then, after another query, the interview abruptly ends after Myers asks Danza and deRoy what their “favourite New York Metropolis staple meals merchandise” is: sizzling canine or pizza. 

To that, the “Taxi” star pats Myers on the cheek and says, “You understand what you have to do, buddy, you have to give you higher questions.”

Within the video, which had greater than 115,000 views as of Saturday, Danza seems to usher deRoy away, saying “come on, let’s go. I’ve acquired to go.”

Within the caption of his TikTok video, Myers expressed his dismay for Danza’s habits and wrote, partly, “To say I used to be blown away, shocked, and embarrassed is an understatement…However, my professionalism confirmed by way of!”

Myers and representatives for Danza didn’t instantly reply to Insider’s request for remark. 

Some commenters have been fast to admonish the “Who’s the Boss?” star and are available to Myers’ protection. Others took specific offense to Danza touching Myer’s face with one saying it could’ve evoked “a match of rage.”

Singer Michael Bublé even weighed in and wrote: “I believe you are wonderful Ry. I will have a pizza with ya.”

In protection of his interview questions, Myers clarified within the remark part that given the musical’s theme, “everybody was asking ‘New York Metropolis’ themed questions.”

Danza isn’t the primary superstar to land in sizzling water after an ungainly red-carpet trade.
