US customs officers inspecting a parcel at New York’s JFK Airport found lots of of insect larvae hidden in a batch of plastic flowers earlier this month.

The mailed cargo of synthetic flowers from Kenya contained 630 stay insect larvae and was seized on Could 3, the US Customs and Border Safety mentioned in a Thursday assertion.

The flowers are being held by agriculture specialists from the company to “stop the unfold of the pests,” the USCBP mentioned.

The company didn’t say what insect species the larvae belonged to.
